The privacy of this blog

This page describes the treatment of users’ personal data in relation to the management of the website.

This disclaimer exclusively refers to this website and does not refer to other websites users consult via links.

This disclaimer also takes into account the recommendation 2/2001 that EU data protection  authorities  as part of the Group created on the basis of Article 29 of the Directive n.95/46/CE. The directive  was adopted the 17 May 2001 to identify some of the minimum requirements necessary to collect personal data on-line and, namely, the modalities, timeframes and nature of the information that the person managing those data should provide to the users once the latter connect to the web pages, regardless to the scope of the on line connection.

All data and information provided on this site is for informational purposes only, they are not gathered to identify users.

These data may be collected for statistical purposes to monitor the behaviour of anonymous visitors to this website as well as  its correct functioning. They are deleted immediately after they elaboration. Data may be used to verify responsibility on cases of unlawful information technology acts:  beside this case, data will not be kept longer than what foreseen by WordPress.

Browsing data are not elaborated by the owner of the blog (Mr Emilio De Capitani) because the website has a mere informative scope and does not foresee other forms of interactions with the users. We do not monitor the personal consultation of the pages. Also in case of maintenance, those responsible for it will not use personally identifying information.

Other personal data given by the users requesting specific material, are used only with the aim of executing the request in the strict measure that it is necessary.

Certain visitors to our blog choose to interact with us in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction; however, it will be used only insofar as it is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with us.

The optional, direct and voluntary transfer of username and email addresses therefore lead to the acquisition of data necessary to answer to users’ requests.

Specific background information notes will be progressively reported or displayed in the website’s pages to fulfill specific requests.

Concerning cookies no personal data are kept. We do not use cookies to transmit information of personal nature, nor systems to track down users. The use of cookies (which are not stored in a systematic way and disappear once the user disconnect) is strictly limited to the identification of sessions (formed by a series of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to allow a safe and efficient surfing of the website. Session-cookies used in this website allow avoiding the use of alternative potentially more intrusive technologies and do not allow to collect personally-identifying information.

Besides what has been specified in relation to browsing data, the user is free to transmit data via the form to request informative material or other communication. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Personal data are dealt with as automatic tools for the time strictly necessary to reach the goal for which they have been put into place.

Specific security measures are followed to prevent the loss of data, unlawful or non-correct and non-authorized accesses.

Subjects to whom personal data refers have the right to obtain at any moment the confirmation of the existence or not existence of these data and to know their content, verify their accuracy  or request the integration and modification or update or rectification.

The same subjects have also the right to request the cancelation, transformation in anonymous status or to block the data used in violation of the law, as well as oppose to their treatment, for legitimate reasons.

All inquires should be sent to Mr Emilio De Capitani
